Temple Square Lights

December 3, 2010
This picture is super blurry but it documents that we did something festive as a family this holiday season. "The girls" from Jeff's work headed downtown tonight for dinner and a walk around Temple Square to see the lights. Thankfully it wasn't as freezing cold as it has been the past week. I'm pretty sure Cole stayed the warmest of everyone in our group seeing as how he was stuffed inside my coat with a hat, coat, and blanket wrapped around him. It was perfect for me too - well, minus the fact that neither Cole or I have mittens on - because I was warm as could be myself. He hung on to the bitter end, finally falling asleep when we were walking back to the car. Pearl was pretty interested with the big Nativity scene and program which made me think she just might be listening to me after all. Of course Santa is still the big draw at Christmastime but at least she finds the nativity story exciting.

I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with the lights this year. It seems like in years past there were gigantic trees in red lights right next to the temple. Budget cuts?

Oh, and sorry Kimmy if the missionaries call you! But they were so nice and Pearl said she wanted to give the pass-along-card to her Aunt. I always feel immensely guilty if I don't tell them SOMEONE to call!
